IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances especially when children are present, basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or
injury to persons, including the following:
1.
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2.
To protect against electrical shock, do not place cord, plug or motor housing in water
or other liquid.
3.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they are closely supervised and instructed concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety. Close supervision is necessary when any
appliance is used by or near children. Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.
4.
Turn the appliance OFF by pressing the STOP button, then unplug from the outlet
when not in use, before assembling or disassembling parts and before cleaning.
To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the outlet. Never pull from the power cord.
5.
Flashing light indicates ready to operate. Avoid inadvertent contact with the touch
screen.
6.
Avoid contacting moving parts.
7.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance
malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Contact the manufacturer at
their customer service telephone number or by email for information on examination,
repair, or adjustment.
8.
This appliance has important markings on the plug blade. The attachment plug or
entire cordset is not suitable for replacement. If damaged, the appliance shall be
replaced.
9.
The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer
may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
10. Do not use outdoors.
11. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
12. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
13. When blending hot liquids, remove center piece of two-piece cover.
14. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot food,
water or other hot liquids.
15. Keep hands and utensils out of container while blending to reduce the risk of severe
injury to persons or damage to the unit. A scraper may be used, but must be used
only when the blender is not running.
16. Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.
17. To reduce the risk of injury, never place cutter assembly blades on base without the
jar properly attached.
18. Always operate the blender with the cover (lid) in place.
19. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
20. To disconnect, press STOP button, then remove plug from wall outlet.
