Color Bar Output

The VMC-1 is able to output color bars from its analog output jack. To output color bars,
simultaneously press the DV input button and the analog input button. This is useful when
you need to adjust the image on another video device. To return to normal operation, press
either of these buttons once again.
* Turning the VMC-1's knobs will not affect the color bar image.

About Copy-protected Video

If copy-protected video is input to the VMC-1, an image with decreased brightness and
contrast will be output, and the frame synchronizer indicator will go out.

Troubleshooting

Power Does Not Turn On
Make sure that the included AC adaptor is correctly connected to the VMC-1's AC adaptor
jack and is plugged into an AC outlet.
Image and Audio Are Not Output
Make sure that the video cable and audio cable are correctly connected to the input jack and
output jack.
When Inputting Analog, Image Is Dark
If copy-protected video is input to the VMC-1, an image with decreased brightness and
contrast will be output.
When Inputting Analog, Sound Is Distorted
The audio input level is too high. Turn the audio input level knob so that the red indicator
does not light.
When Inputting DV, the Sub Audio Is Not Output
The audio mix mode is set to "main only." Turn ON DIP switch 5 on the bottom panel (p. 11)
to select the "50% main + 50% sub" setting.
