Piston weight

Weigh the pistons when replacing them in order to avoid
unbalance.
The difference in weight should not exceed 6 g.

Piston rings - End gaps

Place piston rings into the cylinder and measure end gap A.

Piston rings - Fitting sequence

A* = 1st chrome plated compression ring *
B = 2nd tapered compression ring *
C = 3rd spiral spring oil scraper ring
* The first ring in the TURBO engine is different from the NA-
TURALLY ASPIRATED version, it has a trapezoidal cross-sec-
tion.
Assemble the segments with the TOP marking facing the piston
