REFRIGERATION COMPONENTS Mueller CP2 compact chillers are designed to operate with two Mueller 5-horsepower E-Star HiPerForm “HPF/ ESE” condensing units for maximum performance and efficiency. Refer to the E-Star HiPerForm “HPF/ESE” condensing unit manuals for technical information. EVAPORATOR The Mueller compact chiller uses two totally enclosed, heavy-duty, stainless steel evaporators to provide years of trouble-free operation when properly installed and controlled.
  • Page 11: Electrical Components

ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS The Mueller compact chiller has a complete electrical control system. The electronic temperature control is housed in a separate enclosure. The multi-stage chiller control must be mounted and wired to the flow switches, condensing units, temperature sensors, and pump. All wiring must be performed in accordance with the regulatory agency for the installation locality.

Section 3.0 – Installation INSPECTION Because it is possible for equipment damage to occur during shipment, Paul Mueller Company requires inspecting all equipment before unloading it from the freight truck. Carefully inspect the equipment for hidden damage. It may be difficult to collect for damage if it is not found prior to unloading. It is important to note any damage on the bill of lading and have the driver sign it.

  • Page 16: Section 4.0 - Cleaning The System

IMPORTANT: Never use chlorine as a bacteria inhibitor or cleaning agent as it will cause premature failure of the evaporator and plates within the remote, secondary plate cooler. A food-grade inhibitor, methylparaben, Part No. 9841027, is available from Paul Mueller Company. The water quality must meet the following standards: •...
