  • Page 5 NOTE FOR SYSTEMS WITH 1260-OPT 01T The “Module-Specific Syntax” section of this manual shows the command syntax for the 1260-01S Smart Card. If you are using the newer 1260-01T Smart Card, the commands will NOT work as shown. Consult the 1260-01T Manual for a description of the commands that may be used with the 1260-01T Smart Card.
  • Page 6 Control Information for the 1260-16 The following information describes the control-register-to-relay-channel mapping for a 1260-16 Relay Module. This information may be used to control a 1260-16 when using a 1260-01T in the register-based mode of operation. Each relay on this module is controlled by setting or clearing a single bit within a Control Register. Control Registers on the module operate 8 channels simultaneously.

    User Manual 1260-16 Chapter 1 MODULE SPECIFICATION The 1260-16 Power Switching module provides 40 independent Module channels SPDT switching. Each channel functions Specification independently with all paths accessible through the front panel connectors. Every channel features mounting holes on the printed circuit board to allow for the addition of one series and two shunt elements.

    Series cards. Failure to do so may cause damage to the unit. 1. Use the original packaging when returning the switching Reshipment module to Racal Instruments for calibration or servicing. The Instructions original shipping carton and the module's foam will provide the necessary support for safe reshipment.

    User Manual 1260-16 Chapter 3 MODULE SPECIFIC SYNTAX The module specific syntax for the 1260-16 is required in the use 1260-16 Module of the OPEN and CLOSE commands. It will also appear in the Specific Syntax data output by the Master in response to the PDATAOUT and PSETUP commands.

    User Manual 1260-16 The PSETUP command causes the specified module setup to be PSETUP Command displayed as a response. The syntax used is: PSETUP <module address>[;<module address>][;<module address>]..where <module address> is the address.     User Manual 1260-16 Chapter 4 MODULE CONFIGURATION The 1260-16 Power Switching module provides 40 independent General channels of SPDT switching. Each channel functions independently, with all paths accessible through the front panel connectors. Every channel features mounting holes on the printed circuit board to allow for the addition of one series and two shunt elements.

    User Manual 1260-16 Figure 4-3 shows a 1260-16 channel with one series and two shunt elements associated with each channel. The series elements are designated F100 to F139, while the shunt elements are designated U100A/B to U139A/B. To allow immediate use of the module, a trace is provided on the printed circuit board (component side) in all positions for F100 to F139.
