Paying for a Pay-per-view Program
When you order a pay-per-view program from the on-screen menuing
system, your satellite receiver keeps track of all of your purchases, which
must be reported back to DIRECTV.
Keep your satellite receiver hooked up
to the phone line!
Your pay-per-view purchases are reported to DIRECTV using the modem
connected to your telephone line. You need to keep your phone line
connected to the telephone jack on the back of the receiver at all times.
Once a month your satellite receiver calls DIRECTV to report your Pay-
Per-View purchases.
