The Menu System
You can set a per-event spending limit for each Profile.
2. Use the digits on the remote or use the arrow keys to enter a single-
program spending limit.
After a spending limit is set and the system is locked, you must enter a
password to purchase a pay-per-view program that costs more than your
spending limit allows.

Paying for a Pay-per-view Program

When you order a pay-per-view program from the on-screen menu system,
your satellite receiver keeps track of all of your purchases, which must be
reported back to DIRECTV.
Keep your satellite receiver hooked up
to the phone line!
Your pay-per-view purchases are reported to DIRECTV using the modem
connected to your telephone line. You need to keep your phone line
connected to the telephone jack on the back of the receiver at all times.
Once a month your satellite receiver calls DIRECTV to report your Pay-Per-
View purchases.

Languages Menu

The Languages menu lets you select a different language for the on-screen
menus, and for audio and subtitling (when available).
1. Select Languages from the Main Menu.
The Languages screen allows you to change the
language used in the Menus, Audio and Subtitles
(when available).
2. Select Menu Language, Audio Language or Subtitles.
3. Set your language preference from the list available.
