- Page 2 rTX4000 serIes DecT InDOOr repeaTer This guide is valid for all RTX400X DECT Indoor Repeater models (for e.g. RTX4003, RTX4005, etc.). A Repeater is used when you need to extend the range of your cordless DECT telephone to cover areas where reception was previously not available. All the usual mobile unit functions are supported by the Base station in this extended radio range.
- Page 3 • When positioning you should avoid obstacles that can interfere with a radio transmis- sion, such as thick walls, electric sockets, etc. Note: the Repeater must be installed at a minimum distance of 30 cm from other conduct- ing/metallic objects, for e.g. reinforced concrete pillars, metal pillars and metal walls. To find the best possible location for the Repeater, you have to try different locations.
