    The GoVault data protection software is an extremely robust, easy-to-use backup and restore application that merges advanced data de- duplication technology—also known as capacity-optimized storage (COS)—with the GoVault dock and cartridge disk drive to extend the amount of data that can be archived by a factor of from 10 to 20 times, or more, depending on the nature of the backup data.

    Responding to Alert Conditions Before you can use a GoVault cartridge as a GoVault data protection software archive storage device, you must introduce the cartridge to the GoVault data protection software archive environment. The introduction process places a format header on the cartridge and creates an entry in the Windows registry of the host computer.
