Media Restoring the pre-installed software from the Recovery Partition If you choose dynabook Maintenance Utility to erase the internal storage drive, all data including the operating system and recovery partition will be deleted. In that case, you cannot create recovery media or restore the pre- installed software from the recovery partition. - Page 36 Do not write to the media when the virus check software is running. Wait for it to finish, then disable virus detection programs including any software that checks files automatically in the background. Do not use utilities, including those intended to enhance internal storage drive access speed.

Note that part of the internal storage drive overall capacity is reserved as administration space. Special features The following features are either unique to Dynabook computers or are advanced features which make the computer more convenient to use. Access each function using the following procedures. - Page 71 Intelligent power A microprocessor in the computer's intelligent power supply detects the battery charge, supply automatically calculates the remaining battery capacity, and protects electronic components from abnormal conditions such as a voltage overload from the AC adaptor. Chapter 6 Troubleshooting Dynabook has designed this computer for durability, however, should problems occur you are able to use the procedures detailed in this chapter to help determine the cause. You should become familiar with this chapter as knowing what might go wrong can help prevent problems from occurring in the first place. - Page 74 Check all cables to ensure that they are correctly and firmly attached to the computer - loose cables can cause signal errors.
