TS-1655 User Guide Replacing memory modules The NAS has four memory slots. You can increase the memory capacity of the NAS by upgrading memory modules. For optimal dual-channel performance, replace memory modules in pairs. This NAS also comes preinstalled with one non-ECC memory module. To provide extra protection from undetected data corruption, you can upgrade to ECC memory modules.

Verify that the expansion units are listed. QTS installation The TS-1655 is shipped with the QNAP QTS operating system. You can install QTS using any of the following methods. You can also install the QNAP QuTS hero operating system. If your NAS is connected to the internet, the option to install QuTS hero will appear in the Smart Installation Guide wizard using any of the methods in the table.

NAS Migration You can migrate data and settings from your current NAS to another NAS model with minimal disruptions by installing all the hard drives from the source NAS to the destination NAS.
