Instructions for Use
- This charger is designed to charge NI-Cd or NI-MH batteries in the following sizes/quantities:
- 2 or 4 batteries size AAA / R03
- 2 or 4 batteries size AA / R06
- Place 2 or 4 batteries size AAA/R03 or AA/R6 into the charger compartments, taking care to observe polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the charger. If charging only 2 batteries at a time, place the batteries in either the left hand side compartments of the charger or the right hand side compartments.
- When using AC adaptor –: Connect the supplied AC adaptor's barrel plug intothe jack on the side of the charger. Plug the 3 pin adaptor into an available AC outlet.
- When using in a vehicle - DC car adaptor: Connect the supplied DC car adaptor's barrel plug into the charger's DC input jack. Plug the large end of the cord into the 12V car lighter power port.
- The charger then automatically adjusts the charge current required depending on the type of batteries it detects.
- The LED indicator light on the left of the charger indicates the charge statusof batteries in the left compartments, the LED indicator light on the right indicates the charge status of batteries placed in the right compartments of the charger.
- The LED indicator light flashes to indicate that charging has commenced. Ifthe indicator light extinguishes, the batteries are not suitable for recharging.
- When the batteries are fully charged, the charger automatically stops thecharge process. The indicator light will stay lit continuously, indicating that charging is complete and that the charger has switched to a maintenance charge.
- Unplug the charger and remove the batteries from the charger when not inuse.
- Disconnect and reconnect the charger between each charging process.
Power Supply
- Protect the power supply against the risk of being damaged, i.e. troddenon, pinched or folded, particularly near the sockets and the connection with the device.
- Keep out of the reach of children or pets.
- To disconnect the power supply cable, pull on the plug and not on the cord.
- If the power supply cable is damaged, stop using the device immediately.

When the batteries are fully charged, the charger will automatically switch to a minimum maintenance charge if the batteries are not immediately removed from the unit.
* Charge time stated is for a full charge on fully discharged batteries.
Important Safety Instructions
- Use only Nickel-Cadmium (Ni-Cd) or Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) rechargeable batteries in the charger. Do not attempt to recharge any nonrechargeable batteries.
- Do not mix cell sizes, technologies or capacities in the charger.
- This charger is designed for indoor use only.
- Do not expose the charger to high temperatures or allow moisture or humidity of any kind to come into contact with the charger.
- The charger should not be used by children without supervision, or by disabled persons where the disability could prevent compliance with safety recommendations.
- Children should be supervised at all times to ensure that they do not play with the charger.
- Do not attempt to open the charger. Repairs should only be carried out by a qualified service centre.
- Always disconnect the charger if it is not in use.
- Never use an extension cord or any attachment if not recommended by manufacturer. This may cause a risk of fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
- Batteries contain chemicals which are hazardous to the environment. Please dispose of batteries properly at special collection points, or return to point of sale.

It carries the selective waste disposal mark. This indicates that it should not be disposed of with other domestic waste, but should be left at an appropriate collection point provided by your local authority. It will be returned to an approved centre which will reuse and recycle its constituent parts, whilst neutralising any possible substances harmful to health or the environment.
