SAFETY PRECAUTION (continued)
CAUTION
Right after use or while using, do not touch
the hot part (e.g. the inner part of the
outer lid, a heating plate, a steam vent, or
the inner pot)
Do not touch.
It may cause burn.
Do not use the pot near the wall or the
furniture.
The steam or the heat can damage, discolor,
and deform the wall and the furniture. If

edge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a per-
son responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
This appliance is intended to be used in household and
similar applications such as:
- sta kitchen areas in shops, o ces and other working
environments;
- farm houses;
- by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type
environment;
- bed and breakfast type environment.

Do not use the cooker for any purposes other than
those indicated in the instruction manual.
Because it may cause food or steam contained inside
spill or burst out, resulting in burn wounds/injuries.
<< Examples of inappropriate cooking ways >>
- Putting materials that may block the steam vent,
for example, cooking sheets, lye-removing sheets,
food wraps, or thin-layer ingredients such as some
parts of vegetables, tomatoes, beans, etc.
- Cooking the food that's easy to spill out e.g., jams,
beans, etc.
- Putting ingredients in plastic bags and heating in
the cooker.

Do not use the cooker in the following places:
• The place which is about 10 cm near the wall, on
the paper, clothes, a carpet, or a plastic bag, etc.
• The place exposed to direct sunlight.
Wipe away the drops of water and the foreign matter
every time.
If the cooker is used with the foreign matter at the out-
side of the inner pot, on the temperature sensor,
on the heating plate, or on the outer gasket, the cooker
may stop operating and cause some
accidents.
Do not cover the steam vent with the cloth or place
anything near the vent.
It may cause some accidents, or the outer lid and the
steam vent may deform and discolor.
Do not use the metal scoop, metal-scrubbing brush,
nylon-scrubbing brush, and cleanser with the inner
pot.
These may deteriorate the coated uorocarbon-resin.
Do not use the cooker near the ammable place or
an electromagnetic wave adjuster.
The cooker may deform and discolor and the
accident may happen.
Do not warm rice over 12 hours.
The rice may discolor and be smelly.
Do not warm the soup, e.g. miso and curry soup.
Do not warm anything except rice.
The boiled water may over ow and the inner pot may
be worn.
Do not warm the cooker with the scoop inside it.
The smell of the scoop may react with the rice and the
rice may discolor.
While cooking rice, fold down the handle
backward to the cooker.
The handle may get hotter because of the steam and
can cause some burns.
Maintain the cooker every time after unplugging.
Do not expose the power plug or other electrical
components to hot steam.
Be especially careful when placing and using the
appliance on the kitchen counter, to avoid steam
attached to the plug and cause electric shock or re.
