QUICK START GUIDE
MediaStar 780-AV Digital Media Decoder and IP Television Receiver
The MediaStar Evolution 780 is a fully featured
video and audio media player ideally suited for
corporate, educational, sports, digital-signage
and other commercial applications. It can play
out SD and HD MPEG-2 or H264 encoded video
and audio network streams, show live web
pages from the internet or show files and web
pages stored in internal flash memory.
It is specifically designed to be deployed close to the display screen and provides Composite, RGB, YPbPr (780-AV
models) or HDMI (780-AV and 780-SL models) video outputs. The video output resolutions of 480i/480p/576i/560p
are supported for SD and for HD 720p (60fps) and 1080i (50/60).

Important Safety Instructions

5. Do not use this apparatus near water.
6. Clean only with a dry cloth.
7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance
with the manufacturer's instructions.
8. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat
registers, stoves or other apparatus (including amplifiers)
that produce heat.
9. This unit must be installed using a mains (AC supply) plug and
socket that contains a protective earth (ground).
The mains socket must be located near the equipment,
remain operable and be easily accessible to disconnect the
unit in the case of an emergency.
10. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarised or
grounding-type plug. A polarised plug has two blades with
one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two
blades and a third grounding prong.

What's in the box:
780 unit
AC mains adaptor (non PoE versions)
HDMI to HDMI cable
3.5mm to 2 x Phono (audio) cable
Phono to Phono (video) cable
The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety.
If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an
electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
11. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched
particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point
where they exit from the apparatus.
12. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
13. Use only with the cart, stand tripod, bracket, or table specified
by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart
is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus
combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
14. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when
unused for long periods of time.
15. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is
required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way,
such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has
been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the
apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not
operate normally, or has been dropped.

THERE ARE NO USER SERVICEABLE
PARTS WITHIN A MEDIASTAR 780-AV UNIT.
