4. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

4.1 Electrical and battery safety

a) Do not throw the batteries in fire. The battery
cells may explode. Please, refer to the local
authorities for proper battery disposal.
b) Do not attempt to destroy or disassembly
batteries. The electrolytic substance is
corrosive and may cause skin irritation or
eye injury. It is toxic – never swallow!
c) Do not attempt to charge batteries in rain,
wet
environments
conditions that do not comply with battery
safety operation instructions.
d) Do not handle the battery charger and its
respective power plug and terminals with
wet hands.
e) Avoid using in risky environments. Do not
use the batteries in rain, wet or damp areas.
Water
penetrating
increases the risk of electric shock injury.

4.2 Personal safety

a) Stay alert and cautious. Pay attention to
what you are doing. Focus and use common
sense. Do not use the power tools when
under influence of drugs, alcohol or
medication. A brief lack of concentration
may cause a serious personal injury.
b) Always use suitable protective equipment,
such as eye and hearing protection, face
masks or shields, safety work shoes with
anti-slip features, head protection, gloves
and suitable clothes. Use all mentioned
above according to safety work instructions
that decrease a risk of personal injury.
c) Avoid unintentional tool start. Make sure the
main switch is turned off when installing the
battery or connecting the tool to the power
supply. Carrying the tool with a finger resting
on the main switch or installing the battery to
the tool while having the switch turned on
may cause an accident.
d) Remove all adjusting tools and keys prior to
the tool start. Any unwanted object that is left
attached to the rotating parts of the device
may cause a personal injury.
e) Keep proper footing and balance for easier
and safer tool handling and control in
unpredictable situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothes
and jewelry. Keep your hair, clothes and
gloves in a safe distance from rotating parts
and
other
weather
the
device

of the device. Loose clothes, jewelry and hair
may get caught by rotating parts of the tool and
cause a personal injury.
g) If possible, use dust extraction adapters and
other dust removal equipment. Make sure that
all dust extraction components are connected
and used properly.

any safety rules and instructions. Careless tool
handling can cause a serious personal injury
in fraction of second.

4.3 Work area safety

a) Keep the work area clean and well lit.
Insufficient lighting and untidy work area may
cause injuries.
b) Do not work with the power tools in close
proximity to flammable liquids, gases or dust.
A power tool is a source of sparks which can
cause a dust or fumes to ignite.
c) Keep other persons and children in a safe
distance from power tools once they are
handled or being used. A brief loss of
concentration may lead to an unpredicted tool
behavior and possible personal injuries.

4.4 Battery tool use and care

a) Use only the original charger specified by the
producer. A charger suitable for one battery
type might not be compatible with other types.
b) Use only the tools with dedicated battery
types. Use of an inappropriate battery pack
may cause a risk of personal injury or fire.
c) In case the battery pack is left idle, keep it at
safe distance from other metal objects, such
as clips, coins, keys, nails, screws and other
small objects which can make the battery pack
terminals connect resulting in a battery short
circuit. Such action can lead to skin burns or
fire.
d) Improper handling can cause the battery pack
liquid to leak the device. Avoid body contact
with such liquid at all cost. In case of a body
contact, wash the affected spot with water. In
case the liquid hits eyes, seek the medical
help immediately. The battery pack liquid may
cause skin irritation or burns.
e) Do not use a damaged or altered battery
pack. Damaged and altered battery packs
may behave in an unpredictable manner
which can result in fire, explosion or personal
injury.
f) Do not expose the battery pack or the power
tool to fire and high temperature. Exposure to
