• For right tension of the diamond chain, see picture.
Hold up the bar tip and tighten the bar nuts with the
combination tool. Make sure the chain can be turned
around the bar easily by hand.

How to tension the diamond chain

WARNING! A slack diamond chain may

jump off and cause serious or even fatal
injury.
• If the play between drive link and bar is bigger than 12
mm (1/2") (A), the chain is too loose and must be
tightened.

• Loosen the bar nuts that hold the cover. Use the
combination tool. Then tighten the bar nuts by hand as
tight as you can.
ASSEMBLING AND ADJUSTMENTS
• Raise the tip of the bar and stretch the diamond chain
by tightening the chain tensioning screw using the
combination tool. Tighten the diamond chain until it
does not sag from the underside of the bar.
• Use the combination tool to tighten the bar nuts while
lifting the tip of the bar at the same time. Check that
you can pull the diamond chain round freely by hand
and that it does not sag from the underside of the bar.

Spray guard

The guard for the cutting equipment should be adjusted
so that the rear section is flush with the work piece.
Spatter and sparks from the material being cut are then
collected up by the guard and led away from the user.
The spray guard is spring loaded.
• Ensure the spray guard always is in its forward
position before starting a cut. The guard must always
be fitted on the machine.
