Faults
The programme will not
start.

Cause/Remedy
Have you touched the I button or selected f (Finish in) time?
Is the door closed?
Childproof lock activated? Deactivate childproof lock.
Shop mode activated? If the display shows àœ©˜ for 5 s after you have
switched on or off the appliance, the appliance is in shop mode. Turn off
the shop mode as follows:
1.
Switch the appliance off and on again.
2.
Wait for the display message àœ©˜ to disappear.
Touch and hold I for at least 5 s.
3.
The appliance will automatically switch off. You can use the appliance now as
usual.
Could the drain pump be blocked?

Not a fault – the water is below the visible area.
Not a fault – the unbalanced load detection system has interrupted the
spin cycle because the laundry is unevenly distributed. Distribute small and
large items of laundry evenly in the drum.
Is Ý (Easy iron) additional programme setting selected (depending on
the model)?
Is ç (Silent) additional programme setting or Silent programme selected
(depending on the model)?
Is the selected spin speed too low?
Not a fault – the unbalanced load detection system is adjusting an imbalance.
Not a fault – effect of the care product not impaired.
If required, remove the insert. Clean the detergent drawer and re-insert it.
Remove the insert. Clean the detergent drawer and reinsert it.
Not a fault – the unbalanced load detection system is adjusting an imbal-
ance by repeatedly distributing the laundry.
Not a fault – the foam detection system is activated – a rinse cycle has
been switched on.
Not a fault – the programme sequence is optimised for the specific washing/
drying process. This may change the length of the programme shown on the
Touch-Display.
Too much detergent used?
Mix 1 tablespoon of fabric softener with ½ litre of water and pour into
dispenser II. (Not for outdoor, sports and down-filled textiles!)
Reduce detergent dosage for the next wash cycle.
Use commercially available low foam detergent and care product which are
suitable for machine.
