Problem
Water remains in the dishwasher
above the filters.
Bad odor in dishwasher.
Grease deposits in the
dishwasher.
Possible causes
The filters are clogged.
The filters are not fitted correctly.
Debris in the drain pump.
Drain pump stop missing.
Kink in drain hose.
Blocked drain hose.
Dirt around the seals and in
corners.
Low temperature programs have
been selected for a prolonged
period.
The dishwasher is connected to
a garbage disposer.

Troubleshooting
Action
Clean the coarse and fine filters.
Check that the filters are fitted
correctly. See the chapter Care
and maintenance instructions.
Clean the drain pump. See the
chapter Care and maintenance
instructions.
Check that the yellow drain
pump stop (on the right in the
bottom drain) is in place. See
the chapter Care and
maintenance instructions.
Check that the hose is free from
kinks and sharp bends.
Loosen the drain hose from
where it terminates. Check that
no debris has clogged the hose.
Is the cone-shaped part of the
drain boot cut to the maximum
size of the fitting where it
attaches?
Clean with dish brush and low
foaming cleaner.
Run a program with a high
temperature once or twice a
month. Or run a self-cleaning
program. See Self-cleaning in
the chapter Using the
dishwasher.
Cleaning the garbage disposer
connected to the dishwasher
can eliminate odors. Follow the
disposer manufacturer's
cleaning instructions.
Select a program with a high
temperature to dissolve grease
on heavily soiled dishes, such
as Intensive. Or run a
self-cleaning program once or
twice a month. See Self-cleaning
in the chapter Using the
dishwasher.
