the drain screw (
In principle, place the device higher
than the water surface out of which you
would like to pump.
If this is not possible, install a vacuum
resistant shut-off unit between the de-
vice and the suction line (available at
specialised traders or DIY stores).

Mains Connection

The pump you have purchases is already
fitted with an earthed plug. The equipment
is designed for connection to an earthed
wall socket with a residual current operated
device (RCD switch) at 230 V ~ 50Hz.
Connect the mains connection cable
(
8) to the power supply.

Connecting the lines

Please use a suction device with
a suction filter, strainer and check
valve so that water does not enter
the switched off pump and in order
to prevent damages to the pump
caused by contaminations.
Do not use any connection systems
with quick connectors on the suction
side.
The suction line can either be a pipe-
line or a flexible hose assembly. It must
have a minimum cross-section of 25
mm. In the case of fixed pipelines or
a suction height of more than 4 m, the
use of larger cross-section is recom-
mended.
Lay the suction line rising from the
withdrawal of water to the pump (see

When assembling the suction and
pressure line make sure that no me-
chanical pressure or tension is placed

The function of the garden pump is
not guaranteed through air in the
suction line.

Filling the pump

The pump must be filled with water prior to
each commissioning. This guarantees an
immediate start up. Dry running damages
the pump.
1.
Open the filler screw (3) on the
device.
2.
Fill water until the filling point
and screw the filler screw (3)
tight again.

Operational start-up

Check that the electrical connec-
tion is 230V ~50Hz
Check the proper status of the
electrical plug socket and make
sure that the plug socket is suf-
ficiently fused (at least 10 A). In-
sert the pump plug into the plug
socket and the pump is ready for
operation.
Make sure that moisture or water
