5.3. START-UP
5.3.1. PLACEMENT OF THE MACHINE
Make sure you install the machine on a stable surface
and in a vertical position in an area away from a wall
and where you will have enough room to be able to
work.
5.3.2. CHECKPOINTS BEFORE COMMISSIONING
Before starting work, make sure that the appliance
operates correctly and its operation is safe.
Do not use machine is if it is damaged or incorrectly
regulated.
Use this machine for the purpose for which it was
designed. Any other use may be dangerous for the
user, for the machine and for persons, animals and
things that may be around.
Check:
- The machine completely and look for loose and
damaged parts (screws, nuts, etc.).
- That the moving parts of the machine are not in
contact with any other object.
Tighten, repair or replace everything you need before
using the machine.
Do not use any accessory on this machine outside of
those recommended by Garland since its use could
result in serious injury to the user, machine, and the
people, animals and things close to the machine.
Check the oil level and make sure that it is between
the two marks on the dipstick that can be found under
the oil plug (9) input. If it is below the lowest level you
should refill the oil.
Check that there are no oil leaks in the machine. If you
detect leaks bring your machine in for service.
5.3.3. STARTING AND STOPPING THE MACHINE

the appliance. If you do not loosen the bleed screw,
the air inside the hydraulic system cannot leave, thus
compressing itself with every cutting motion of the
bandsaw. This air pressure can damage the hydraulic
system's seals, causing permanent damage to the
machine.

A. Place the ON/OFF switch in the "ON" position.
