    Getting started About this User guide This is the Xperia XZ2 Premium User guide for the Android™ 8.0 software version. If you're not sure which software version your device is running, you can check it in the Settings menu. System and application updates can present the features in your device in another way than described in this User guide.

    To insert a nano SIM card and a memory card Do not cut your SIM card, as this may damage your device. Drag out the SIM card tray. Place the SIM card securely in the SIM card tray, as shown in the illustration. Place the memory card securely in the tray, in the correct orientation as shown in the illustration.

When using a security option to protect your device, it is crucial to remember the details provided at set up. Screen lock Set a secure screen lock on your device using a PIN, password, pattern or fingerprint to prevent others from using your device without permission.

    Enhancing the sound output You can enhance the sound of your device by manually enabling individual sound settings such as Equaliser and Surround sound. You can enable the Dynamic normaliser to minimise volume differences between songs or videos. Enhanced sound effects only work for analog headphones connected to your device with the USB Type-C to 3.5mm Audio jack host adapter.

They also get separate access to applications and memory storage for files such as music and photos. You can add up to seven regular user accounts on your device.

    Calling Making calls You can make a call by dialling a phone number manually, or use the smart dial function to quickly find numbers from your contacts list and call logs. To make a video call, you can use the Duo video chat application on your device.
