Removing an Existing Rollover
Protection System (ROPS)
No Parts Required
Procedure
This procedure is only needed if there is an existing ROPS
system that needs to be replaced.
1. Make sure all moving parts have stopped, parking brake
is engaged, and the key has been removed.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the bolts, nuts, washers and spacers attaching
the ROPS to the frame. Note the position and
orientation of the curved washers used with the bolts.
Also note the position and orientation of the flat
spacers between the ROPS legs and frame bracket.
4. Remove the ROPS from the mower. Carefully pull the
fuel vent assembly from the right ROPS leg and note
the orientation.
