Cleaning & Storage
Dishwasher Safe
Only the Fry Tray is dishwasher safe. Although this component is dishwasher safe, we
recommend cleaning by hand. Hand-washing preserves the life of the Fry Tray and
helps to maintain its appearance. If cleaning in the dishwasher, follow the suggested
guidelines:
1.
Load the dishwasher carefully. Other dishes and flatware may mark the surface of
your Fry Tray.
2.
Be sure to remove soil from other dishes and flatware. It can be abrasive to
nonstick coating.
3.
It is recommended to use a non-lemon detergent.
4.
Regular dishwasher cleaning will eventually scratch any surface.
5.
To protect yourself from electric shock, NEVER immerse the appliance or the
power cord in water or other liquids.
6.
DO NOT use any petroleum products, which will damage the outer appliance
housing and the Control Panel.
Self-Cleaning
Use the self-cleaning function to clean limescale out of the Water Tank after about
20 hours of use (NOTE: If the appliance is not used often, the self-cleaning function
should be used after each cooking process).
To use the self-cleaning function:
1.
Add about ½ oz (14.5 ml) of vinegar to 2 cups (500 ml) of water and stir until the
citric acid is dissolved.
2.
Add the mixture to the Water Tank. Place the Water Tank on the appliance.
3.
Press the Clean Button on the Control Panel. The machine will automatically enter
self-cleaning mode.
4.
The appliance will automatically shut down when the self-cleaning function is
complete.
5.
Rinse the system out to remove any odd taste by filling the Water Tank with
water. Then, press the Clean Button on the Control Panel. Repeat if necessary.
Storage
1.
Unplug the appliance and let it cool down thoroughly.
2.
Make sure all components are clean and dry.
3.
Place the appliance in a clean, dry place.
