Standby mode. Carry out the process detailed above
after the unit has been powered down to de-activate
the child lock function while in Standby mode. There
will be a sound prompt to indicate the child-lock
function has been de-activated.
Safety Cut-Out
This unit is equipped with a safety cut-out device,
which will automatically kick in whenever the unit
overheats or is tipped over.
The safety cut-out device will activate whenever
the unit reaches an inner working temperature
of more than 50 degrees Centigrade. When this
function activates, the unit will automatically shut
down, and the text 'FF' will flash on the unit's LED
display to show the safety cut-out has activated.
NOTE: While the safety cut-out is in operation, the
unit will not respond to any commands or button
presses. The unit will need to be switched off or
unplugged from the mains before normal operation
can resume.

Tip-Over Switch

In addition to the safety cut-out, this unit is
also complete with a tip-over switch, which will
interrupt operation whenever the heater is tipped
off-balance or toppled over. This function will
automatically activate regardless of if the unit is
turned on or off.
When the safety switch activates, the unit will
automatically stop operating and the text 'E3' will
appear on the LED display.
NOTE: When the safety tip-over switch is active,
the unit will not respond to any commands or button
presses. The unit will need to be set back upright,
switched off or unplugged from the mains before
normal operation can resume.

Cleaning and maintenance
WARNING: Before cleaning and maintenance,
switch the appliance off and remove the plug from
the socket, to prevent electric shock.
Do not immerse any part of the appliance, power
cord or plug in liquids.
Use a soft damp cloth to wipe the surface. Avoid
using detergent, spray or chemicals as these may
cause damage to the appliance.
Removable Filter
This unit is equipped with a removable and
washable filter.
To clean the filter, start by removing it from its slot
at the back of the unit. To do this, press the tab at
the top of the filter to loosen it, then pull it away
from the main body of the unit.
Once the filter has been removed, simply rinse
it under running water to clean it, then leave it to
air dry.
NOTE: Ensure the filter is thoroughly dry before
replacing it into the unit.
When the filter has fully dried off, push it back
into its slot at the back of the unit until it clicks into
place.
Mains plug replacement
If a new mains plug needs to be fitted:
Safely dispose of the old plug.
Connect the brown lead to the live terminal in the
new plug.
Connect the blue lead to the neutral terminal.
If the product is class I (earthed), connect the
green/yellow lead to the earth terminal.
Note! If your product is class II double insulated
(only 2 wires in the cord set), no connection is to be
made to the earth terminal.
Follow the fitting instructions supplied with good
quality plugs. Any replacement fuse must be of the
same rating as the original fuse supplied with the
product.
