4 Maintaining the product
Checking the filter:
-
In case of visible contamination of the outlet filter (4) the inlet
filter (3) must be replaced in any case.
-
Filters must be replaced in case of fading pump power
(audible). In most cases just it is sufficient to replace the inlet
filter (3).
Changing the filter:
1. Pull one of the end pieces (2) out of the condensate trap and
pour out the condensate.
2. Pull the filter chamber (6) off the end piece (2) to replace a filter.
3. Turn the extractor key (7) into the filter and pull it out of the filter
chamber.
4. Press the new filter (0554 3371) firmly into the filter chamber
(6).
5. Plug the filter chamber (6) onto the end piece (2).
6. Re-insert the end piece (6) into the condensate trap.
4.2.
Cleaning / replacing the sintered filter
1. Loosen and unscrew the fastening cap of the sintered filter
using two open end spanners (SW 12).
2. Remove the sintered filter.
3. Carefully clean the sintered filter with compressed air or replace
it, plug it on the holder and close it with the fastening cap.
4. Carefully tighten the fastening cap with the open end spanners.
14
Only empty the condensate trap when the pump is
switched off.
The condensate trap has been designed for a particular
flow direction. This is marked on the housing with an arrow.
In case of opposing gas flow the condensate separation will
not function correctly; this can cause failure of the
instrument.
When performing assembly work on the condensate trap
take care not to damage the seal rings and not to mix up
the filter chambers by mistake.
