NAC MODULE

GENERAL

The NAC Module monitors and controls a circuit of alarm notification appliances or speakers. It is
mounted on a plastic face plate for use with a UL listed 4" square or 2 gang electrical box (minimum
depth 2⅛"). The module requires a separate 24V DC supply to power notification appliances.
In addition to individual NAC Module operation, multiple modules can be controlled simultaneously as a
group*. A green LED flashes in synchronization with the current pulse reply from the device.
Please Note:
*Physical group addressing feature is only available in XP95/Discovery Protocol.
The NAC Module is designed for indoor dry use only .

CONTROL PANEL COMPATIBILITY

The NAC Module has been approved by UL, LLC. For details of compatible panels contact Apollo

  • Page 5 ADDRESS SETTING Steps The dip switch used to address your device has 10 individual switches. Address setting is done by dip switches 1-8 (see page 7 for address matrix). In XP/Discovery Protocol, only dip switch 1-7 are used. Dip switch down = 1 and up = 0. There is no Class A/B selection switch, the device determines wiring class by internal end of line resistor Fig.
  • Page 6 GROUP ADDRESS SETTING (XP MODE ONLY) In Group mode the NAC Module responds to an additional address referred to as the ‘group address’, which is used to activate groups of NAC Modules simultaneously (The module continues to respond to its own individual address and report its status from that address in the normal way).
