Instructions for use Mobilizer Norbert 1.1 Copyright These operating instructions, including all their parts and illustrations, are protected by co- pyright. Operator is any natural or legal person responsible for the operation of the healthcare facility in which The Mobilizer Norbert is applied by its employees. User is medical and nursing staff who use the product for mobilisation after instruction by the operator.
To support both feet, there is a footrest that can be adjus- ted to the length of the lower leg. If it is not needed, it can be stowed behind the padding of the leg rest. Mobilizer Norbert has four large, swivelling castors that ensure easy manoeuvrability. The central brake unit can be used to fix one directional castor as well as to operate the parking brakes.
• The patient's body weight must not exceed 250 kg. The Mobilizer Norbert must not be used if a patient has failed the examination of a profes- sional with medical competence.
Instructions for use Mobilizer Norbert 3. Permissible operating conditions/place of use The Mobilizer Norbert is intended for indoor use. If it is necessary to drive over steps or thresholds, these must be sloped or a ramp must be created. The ramps or an inclined plane may have a maximum gradient of seven degrees.
5. Safety instructions Safety and warning notices on the mobilizer Safety and warning notices in the form of pictograms and stickers are attached to the Mo- bilizer and to any equipment supplied. These must not be changed or removed. Defective or damaged notices must be replaced immediately.

ATTENTION! Mobilizer Norbert is not suitable as a climbing aid, nor is it permitted to sit down on the backrest or foot end. An impermissible load can cause the Mobi- lizer Norbert to tip over.

Instructions for use Mobilizer Norbert 5.4 Products mechanical adjustment If your Mobilizer Norbert is equipped with a hydromechanical adjustment via pump lever, the following additional safety instructions apply: • The gas springs and the hydraulic drive must be free of external damage. No oil may leak from the manual lifting device.
Fig. 5: Electromotive height adjustment 7. Backrest adjustment By tilting the backrest, Mobilizer Norbert can be adjusted from a flat lying surface to a sitting position (see Fig. 5). Synchronously with the inclination of the backrest, the leg rest is also lowered or raised.
To get out forward, the seat of Mobilizer Norbert is tilted forward as far as it will go and the footrest is stowed under the calf pad. In this position, an attendant can help the patient out of Mobilizer Norbert with minimal effort while observing kinaesthetic principles.
11. Armrests The armrests provide support for the patient without limiting the seat width. They lower automatically to the level of the seat cushion when adjusted to the couch, facilitating the prone la- teral transfer of patients. For seated transfer or lateral sitting, it is possible to swivel the armrests upwards individually (see Fig.
