    Operator is any natural or legal person responsible for the operation of the healthcare facility in which The Mobilizer Ottfried is applied by its employees. User is medical and nursing staff who use the product for mobilisation after instruction by the operator.

    Instructions for use Mobilizer Ottfried 2. Description and purpose The Mobilizer Ottfried is a universal therapy device for performing patient mobilisation from a lying to a sitting position. The sitting/lying surface is mounted on a compact chassis with four swivelling castors and is easy to manoeuvre.

    • The patient's body weight must not exceed 250 kg. The Mobilizer Ottfried must not be used if a patient has failed the examination of a profes- sional with medical competence.

    Instructions for use Mobilizer Ottfried 3. Permissible operating conditions/place of use The Mobilizer Ottfried is intended for indoor use. If it is necessary to negotiate steps or thresholds, these must be sloped or a ramp must be created. The ramps or an inclined plane may have a maximum gradient of seven degrees.

    • The operator must ensure that the person on the Mobilizer Ottfried is suitably secured against falling out. • The operator must ensure that no one can manipulate the Mobilizer Ottfried or be injured by moving parts during adjustment. The patient's arms should be in the patient's lap or on the armrests.

    Instructions for use Mobilizer Ottfried 5.4 Products with battery Products with rechargeable batteries may only be operated with the rechargeable batteries supplied or other rechargeable batteries approved by the manufacturer. The rechargeable bat- teries may only be charged in the charging station provided, including the mains adapter.

    Instructions for use Mobilizer Ottfried 9. Hand control The tilt of the backrest and seat, the adjustment of the seat height, as well as the operation of the lower leg length (height of the foot step) is carried out by means of two electric motors.

    To get out forward, the seat of Mobilizer Ottfried is tilted forward as far as it will go and the footrest is stowed under the calf pad. In this position, an attendant can help the patient out of Mobilizer Ottfried with minimal effort while observing kinaesthetic principles.
