Before setting up your new Synology NAS, please check the package contents to verify that you have received the items below. Also, make sure to read the safety instructions carefully to avoid harming yourself or damaging your Synology NAS.

    1 Connect one end of the power cord to the power port of the expansion unit, and the other to the power outlet. 2 Connect the expansion cable to the expansion ports of DX1222 and Synology NAS. After the connection is complete, DX1222 will be turned on or off automatically when the connected NAS powers on or off.

    System Maintenance Replace System Fan If the cooling fan located on the back of the Synology NAS malfunctions, please follow the steps below to remove the malfunctioning fan and replace it with a new one. 1 Power off your Synology NAS and remove the power cord.
