To connect to Wi-Fi

1. Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the back of
the bridge.
2. Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into your router.
Now that you've set up the hardware, you can set up the software.

Installing the software

Your Philips Hue is operated solely through your device with the
Philips Hue app; giving you control of your lights from anywhere.
In this section you'll learn how to download and set up the app.

To download the app:

1. Using your device, connect to the Apple App Store.
2. Tap the Search icon.
3. Type Philips Hue.
4. Scroll until you find the icon shown in Figure 1 (p. 6).
5. Tap Get.
The app is now downloading to your device.
