Attention!!!:
Please make sure that you connect the cable in the right
order like shown in the list above. If you connect the cable
wrong it can destroy your hardware! The labelling on the
cable must match with the ones on our card.
PCI = Power from PCI-Express BUS (standard)
Only for EX-1074:
AUX = Power from PC power supply
JP2:
(For safe direct power from pc power supply to provide suffi-
cient power for devices with high power consumption).
Connector J6 must be connected with PC power suplly!
Only for EX-1074:
If JP2 is set to AUX J6 must be connected with pc power
J6:
supply! Please make sure you connect the plug in the right
direction. Never connect or release the plug while the PC
power is on!
HARDWARE INSTALLATION :
Attention! If you use Windows 98, ME, 2000 without service pack 4 or XP without
service pack. Please install the drivers for the card first.
If you use Windows 2000 including service pack 4, or Windows XP including
service pack 1 & 2. Or you already installed the drivers please proceed with the
following instructions for hardware installation.
If you are ready with the jumper settings for the card, please proceed with the following
installation instructions. Because the designs of computers are different, only general
installation instructions are given. Please refer your computer's reference manual when-
ever in doubt.
1. Turn off the power to your computer and any other connected peripherals.
2. Remove the mounting screws located at the rear and/or sides panels of your Com-
puter and gently slide the cover off.
3. If your pc case do have a front panel please follow the instructions at J3 above.
Normally the cables should be marked if not please ask the front panel manufacturer
4. If necessary please install now the external power supply to the card like shown at
JP2 & J6 above.
5. Locate an available PCI-Express expansion slot and remove its covers from the rear
panel of your computer.
6. Align the card with the expansion slot, and then gently but firmly, insert the card.
Make sure the card is seated and oriented correctly.
7. Then connect the card with a screw to the rear panel of the computer.
8. Gently replace your computer's cover and the mounting screws.

Should you use Windows 2000 with service pack 4 you don't need any drivers. The
drivers are already integrated in Windows and the card will be installed automatically.
Should you use Windows 2000 without service pack 4 please insert the driver CD into your
CD-Rom drive (for example D:\) and open the folder D:\USB 2.0\VIA\USB2_Host_Driver
on the CD.

USB ports from your Linux version !

Vielen Dank das Sie sich für eine EXSYS USB 2.0 PCI Karte entschieden haben. Die
EX-1072/1075 ist mit 2 externen und 2 internen 5Pin Downstream Ports und die EX-
1074 mit vier externen und einem internen Downstream Port ausgestattet. Die EX-1075
ist eine Low Profile USB 2.0 PCI Karte mit einem kurzen 8cm Bügel für schmale Com-
puter Gehäuse. Die USB 2.0 PCI Karten sind voll kompatibel mit Microsoft Windows
Standard OpenHCD Treibern und sind nach den Normen des Universal Serial Bus
(USB) Rev. 2.0 entwickelt worden. Sie haben einen Dual Speed USB Transceiver. Sie
unterstützen den 32 und 64-Bit PCI-Bus mit 5 Volt und 3,3 Volt. Es wird ein Chipset von
