    1. HEALTH & SAFETY REGULATIONS The operator manual contains instructions for the daily work with the equipment to be handled and used by the operator. The operator manual must always be available to the operator(s) working with the equipment. It is important that: •...

    2. WARNING DEVICES Annual inspection of warning devices and protective devices must be carried out. This refers to the control of their function and status. 2.1 Warning texts WARNING! Ignoring this information will result in immediate danger to life. PROHIBITED! Prohibited action associated with danger or death or serious injury! REQUIREMENT!

Electricity This machine is not isolated against electric current. It is therefore necessary to have a correct safety distance to the high-voltage conductors or other current carrying objects.

    Make sure that the working area around the lift is protected from people or other equipment. Never push or pull objects with the lift. Lock the lift when not in use to prevent unauthorized use. 3. MACHINE SAFETY The machine is marked with a CE mark. This means that it is designed, manufactured and described in accordance with EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC (see also page 16).

    • Only original spare parts may be used upon repairs. 3.2 When rebuilding the lift • If the lift is rebuilt or supplemented with other parts not approved by the manufacturer, this CE marking does not apply to the parts that change the function of the lift. Warning decals and CE marking on the lift must be clearly visible.

    4. CHECKS BEFORE USING THE LIFT All safety regulations, operating instructions, labels and national safety instructions / requirements must be carefully read, understood and complied with. Perform the following daily checks before using the machine: 1. Check that the batteries are charged. 2.

    4.6 Emergency stop The lift is equipped with an emergency stop function. Press the emergency stop button to turn off the power. Rotate the emergency stop button clockwise to reactivate the power. 4.7 Emergency lowering The lift is equipped with two emergency lowering systems. Emergency lowering of the platform is done either with an electric button located at the main switch on the side of the chassis or a mechanical button located on the top of the chassis covers.

    5. MAINTENANCE WARNING! The service or maintenance on the machine must never be performed with raised platform without having secured the platform against unintentional lowering. Do not stand under the platform when this is being secured in the raised position or when it is removed.

    Consult a physician in case of contact with battery acid. Old worn out batteries must be replaced with batteries from Safelift or with batteries approved by the manufacturer. Keep the poles and top of batteries clean.

    NOTE! The charger must be connected to a socket with earth-fault protection. Do not use the lift while charging. 5.5 Inspection & maintenance intervals A complete inspection consists of periodic visual and functional checks along with minor adjustments in order to ensure the function. The daily inspection prevents the abnormal wear and prolongs the life of all machine systems.
