    Intended Use The portable Medela Invia Motion Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) system is indicated to create an environment that promotes wound healing by secondary or tertiary (delayed primary) intention by preparing the wound bed for closure, reducing edema, promoting granulation tissue formation and perfusion, and by removing exudates and infectious material.

    Polypropylene, Silicon Sterilization Method: Ethylene Oxide Intended Use The Medela Invia Motion Canister/Tubing Set 0.15 l (150 ml) is an accessory of the Medela Invia Motion NPWT System and it is intended to collect removed wound exudate and infectious mate- rial.

    Initial Set-up attach the US Plug to the Invia Motion Power Supply Charge Battery for the first time Plug the Invia Motion Power Supply into a wall outlet and open the small protective cover of the pump for the Direct Current (DC) socket and attach the power supply. Moving bars on the battery display will indicate charging is occurring.

    Disconnect from Power Source ➔ ➔ Disconnecting the Power Source When the battery is fully charged (after approximately 4 hours) the following non-blinking symbol will appear on the display . To disconnect the Invia Motion NPWT Pump from the electrical source, hold the end of the plug and remove it from the pump. Close the DC socket by pressing the small protective cover over the opening.

    Operating Instructions Invia Motion NPWT Pump Settings Change Pressure Level Press [ ] and hold for 3 seconds to change the pressure level. The set pressure value symbol on the display will start to blink. You now have 5 seconds to press [ ] for a new pressure setting, otherwise the pump remains at the previous setting.

    Power Supply and Battery Management The Invia Motion NPWT Pump is operated by an internal rechargeable NiMH battery and while attached to a power source. While in use and connected to a power source, the battery is recharged. The available battery time from a single charge depends upon the run-time of the pump.

    Notifications and Troubleshooting WarNINg Negative Pressure Wound Therapy should run 24 hours a day without interruption. If therapy is discontinued for more than: 2 hours with a foam dressing or 24 hours with a gauze dressing, the dressing should be replaced and therapy restarted by a healthcare professional. If the Invia Motion NPWT Pump detects an irregularity in the operation of the pump, an acoustic signal sounds and a notification will appear on the display.
