Troubleshooting
PROBLEM
Coffee sediment in
brewed cup of coffee.
Coffee leaks onto the
appliance's base.
A partial carafe of
coffee brews.
Coffee tastes weaker
than preferred.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Coffee grounds are too
fine for the brew basket.
The paper filter was not
opened or properly
placed in brew basket.
The Carafe has been
removed for longer than
20 seconds during a
brew cycle.
The coffee cup or mug
was removed before
brewing was complete.
The Water Reservoir was
not filled to the "MAX"
line when the brewing
cycle started.
Too much water was
used for a single-pod
coffee brew.
Not enough ground
coffee was used.
The appliance
needs cleaning.
SOLUTION
Use a paper filter or a
coarser ground coffee.
Rinse the brew basket
and re-insert the paper
filter into the brew basket
so that the edges remain
pressed against the sides
of the basket.
Make sure to replace the
Carafe within 20 seconds
during the brewing cycle.
Wait until brewing is
complete and dripping
stops before removing
your mug.
Ensure the Water
Reservoir is filled to
the "MAX" line before
brewing a full carafe.
Brew two coffee pods
into your mug. Choose a
small brew volume.
Increase the volume of
coffee grounds in the
permanent filter.
Follow the instructions in
the "Descaling" section.
