Turn off the printer; remove the power cord and all interface cables.

Remove the media tray(s) from the printer; remove the media from the tray(s).

# Put the protective stopper (included in the original packing material) into
the hole in the metal plate as shown below.
$ Pressing down the metal plate, put the other end of the protective stopper
into the hole in the media tray to secure the metal plate.
