Safety instructions for all applications

General safety instructions for grinding, sanding with sandpaper, working with wire
brushes, polishing, milling and abrasive cutting:
a) This power tool is intended for use as a grinder, sander, steel brush, polisher,
milling machine and sanding machine.
b) Observe all safety instructions, diagrams and data supplied with the machine.
Failure to follow the following instructions may result in electric shock, fire
and/or serious injury.
c) Do not use any accessories not supplied or recommended by the
manufacturer for this power tool. The fact that accessories may be attached to
the power tool does not make them safe for use.
d) The permitted speed of the accessory used must be at least as high as the
maximum speed specified for the power tool. Accessories rotating faster than
the permitted speed may break and throw pieces into the air.
e) The external diameter and thickness of the auxiliary tool used must
correspond to the dimensions of your power tool. Incorrectly dimensioned
auxiliary tools cannot be adequately shielded or controlled.
f) Grinding discs, sanding drums or other accessories must fit precisely on the
grinding spindle or collet of your power tool. Accessories which do not fit
precisely into the mounting of the power tool will rotate unevenly, vibrate
violently and may lead to loss of control of the tool.
g) Hold the power tool only by the insulated gripping surfaces when performing
any operation where the accessory tool may come into contact with concealed
wiring or its own cord. Contact with a live cable may also energise metal parts
of the tool and cause electric shock.
h) Always hold the power tool firmly. When running at full speed, the torque of
the motor may cause the power tool to twist.
i) If possible, use clamps to hold the workpiece in place. Never hold a small
workpiece in one hand and the power tool in the other while using it. Clamping
small workpieces keeps both hands free for better control of the power tool.
When cutting round workpieces such as dowels, rods or tubes, be aware that
they may roll away, causing the power tool to jam and be thrown towards you.
j) Never lay down the power tool before the accessory tool has come to a
complete stop. The rotating accessory tool may come into contact with the
surface and cause you to lose control of the power tool.
k) Tighten the collet nut, chuck or other fasteners securely when changing
accessory tools or settings. Loose fasteners may shift unexpectedly and lead
to loss of control; non-secured, rotating parts will fly away violently.
l) Do not run the power tool while wearing it. Unintentional contact between your
clothing and the rotating auxiliary tool may cause bodily injury.
