Connecting speakers and AC power supply cords
• Turn off all equipment before making any connections.
• Peripheral equipment sold separately unless otherwise indicated.
• To connect equipment, refer to the appropriate operating instructions.

Connect the speaker cables , which have been connected to "CENTER" of front speakers and , to the center terminals on the
receiver.
• Before connecting these cables to the receiver, twist the conductors with the same polarity in the left and right speaker cables together
to make a single conductor.
Connect the speaker cables , which have been connected to "FRONT" of front speakers and , to the front terminals on the
receiver, and connect the speaker cables of the surround speakers and to the surround terminals.
Be sure to connect the (+) ends of the speaker cables to the positive (+) terminal of the receiver and connect their (–) ends to its
negative (–) terminals.

Use a monaural connection cable (included) for connection.

Household AC outlet (AC 120 V, 60 Hz)
Connect AC power supply cord after all other cables and cords are connected.
• The included AC power supply cord is for use with this unit only. Do not use it with other equipment.
• Do not use an AC power supply cord from any other type of equipment with this unit.
• The unit's settings remain effective after the AC power supply cord is removed from the household AC outlet.
Note
• Do not connect the speakers to other receivers but the receiver included in this package.
• If you connect other speakers but the speakers included in this package, ELS Surround sound cannot be properly played back.
• Do not move the speaker while the speaker cables are connected. This may cause a short circuit.
• Make sure to bundle the speaker cable with a string etc. when relocating the speaker cables.
• Do not forget to take steps instructed in "Auto speaker setup using the setup microphone" (á pages 26 and 27) after connecting
speakers.
