Insert the battery into the battery compartment located at the end of unit. The instrument will perform a self-test, and within five seconds the ambient readings will be displayed. The unit is switched on/off by pressing the button located on the front. The instrument monitors the humidity and temperature simultaneously.
To display the maximum reading press the MAX/MIN button located at the back of the unit and a 'Max' symbol will be displayed. Press the MAX/MIN button again to display the minimum reading and a 'Min' symbol will be displayed. To return to normal readings press the MAX/MIN button again. To clear the max/min temperature memory, press the MAX/MIN button for three seconds or turn the instrument off. Please note: Maximum and minimum readings are not saved so switching the thermometer off will clear these readings.
Press the °C/°F button on the back of the instrument to switch between Centigrade and Fahrenheit.
Replace the battery immediately the reading becomes erratic or the display clarity fades, using a AAA battery or 1.5V equivalent. The battery is located under the battery cover at the end of the instrument.
Instrument performance may be affected if operated within a high frequency radio field, such as near a mobile phone, or if subjected to an electrostatic shock.
This instrument carries a one-year guarantee against defects in either components or workmanship. During this period, products that prove to be defective will, at the discretion of ETI, be either repaired or replaced without charge. The product guarantee does not cover damage caused by fair wear and tear, abnormal storage conditions, incorrect use, accidental misuse, abuse, neglect, misapplication or modification.
