a n d s l i d e t h e h a n g e r t o a c o m f o r t a b l e w o r k i n g p o s i t i o n .

2. Adjust the hanger position as shown in the figure

Correct handling of the tool
WARNING:
Al w ays position the tool on your
right-hand side. C o r r e c t p o s i t i o n i n g o f t h e t o o l a l l o w s
f o r m a x i m u m c o n t r o l a n d w i l l r e d u c e t h e r i s k o f s e r i -
ous personal injury caused by kickback.
WARNING:
Be extremely careful to maintain
control of the tool at all times. Do not allo w the
tool to be de ected toward you or anyone in the
w ork vicinity. F a i l u r e t o k e e p c o n t r o l o f t h e t o o l
could result in serious injury to the bystander and the
o p e r a t o r .
WARNING:
To avoid accident, leave more
than 15m (50 ft) distance bet w een operators w hen
t w o or more operators w ork in one area. Also,
arrange a person to observe the distance bet w een
operators. If someone or an animal enters the
w orking area, immediately stop the operation.
CAUTION:
If the cutting tool accidentally
impacts a rock or hard object during operation,
stop the tool and inspect for any damage. If the
cutting tool is damaged, replace it immediately.

CAUTION:
Remove the blade cover from the
cutter blade w hen cutting the grass.

erly if the nylon cutting head is not rotating.

MAINTENANCE

WARNING:
Al w ays be sure that the tool is
switched off and battery cartridge is removed
before attempting to perform inspection or main-
tenance on the tool. Failure to switch off and remove
t h e b a t t e r y c a r t r i d g e m a y r e s u l t i n s e r i o u s p e r s o n a l
injury from accidental start-up.
NOTICE:
Never use gasoline, ben z ine, thinner,
alcohol or the like. Discoloration, deformation or
cracks may result.

Cleaning the tool

Clean the tool by wiping off dust, dirt, or cut off grass
w i t h a d r y c l o t h o r o n e d i p p e d i n s o a p y w a t e r a n d w r u n g
o u t . T o a v o i d o v e r h e a t i n g o f t h e t o o l , b e s u r e t o r e m o v e
the cut off grass or debris adhered to the vent of the
t o o l .
Replacing the nylon cord
WARNING:
Use only the nylon cord w ith
diameter specified in this instruction manual.
Never use heavier line, metal w ire, rope or the
like. F a i l u r e t o d o s o m a y c a u s e d a m a g e t o t h e t o o l
and result in serious personal injury.
WARNING:
Al w ays remove the nylon cutting
head from the tool w hen replacing the nylon cord.
WARNING:
Make sure that the cover of the
nylon cutting head is secured to the housing
properly as described in this instruction manual.
F a i l u r e t o p r o p e r l y s e c u r e t h e c o v e r m a y c a u s e t h e
nylon cutting head to fly apart resulting in serious
personal injury.
