To Connect to the CLI:
1. Connect the FortiManager unit's console port to the management
computer using the provided console cable.
2. Start a terminal emulation program on the management computer. Use
the following settings:
• Baud Rate:
9600
• Data bits:
8
• Parity:
None
• Stop bits:
1
• Flow Control: None
3. Press Enter on your keyboard to connect to the CLI.
4. Type admin in the Name field, leave the Password field blank, and
press Enter.
You can now proceed with configuring your FortiManager unit.
Reset the FortiManager unit to factory default settings:
To reset the FortiManager unit to the factory default settings from the CLI,
enter the following command:
execute reset all-settings
Shutting Down the FortiManager unit:
Caution: Not following this procedure can increase the risk of damaging
or corrupting the unit's hard disk drive.
When powering off the FortiManager unit, always shut down the unit
using the following procedures before disconnecting the power supply.
To shut down the FortiManager unit using the CLI, enter the following
command:
execute shutdown
You can also shut down the FortiManager unit in the Web-based
Manager. Go to System Settings > General > Dashboard, select
Shutdown in the Unit Operation dashboard widget and select OK.
