REMOVING CONTROL HOUSING
No unusual tools and/or equipment are needed to service the Girard Tankless Water Heater.
The following equipment is commonly used for service and is readily available. Be sure that all
instruments are regularly calibrated.
To gain easy access to the serviceable components of the Water Heater you must first remove
the Controls' Housing that shields and supports the following:
• Circuit Board
• Dual BTU Gas Control
• Main Gas Line
• Ground connections
• Power switch with the LED indicator

Access to Board and Gas Valve
• BOARD - Locate the screw at the upper left of the control panel. Remove screw and lift
BOARD out of bracket.
• VALVE ACCESS - Locate plate at lower right side of control panel. Remove 2 screws
holding plate. Remove plate to provide access to GAS VALVE for testing.
