ATTENTION INSTALLER!
Girard GSWH-2 Tankless Water Heater
Professional Installation is strongly recommended.
The Girard GSWH-2 makes instant Hot water so it is necessary to have
sufficient and steady Water Flow/Pressure, sufficient/clean 12 Volt Power
and adequate LP Gas Pressure.
BEFORE INSTALLATION
 The Water Heater cut out opening is 13" X 13".
o If water heater does not slide into the opening, you may
need to either:
 Enlarge the opening.
 Replace the water heater housing pan head screws
with pop rivets.
 Maximum run length of the 2 wires from UCP to the Water Heater
is 16 feet or 5 meters.
 Check the RV's plumbing system/fixtures to ensure that you have
a minimum water flow of .90 Gallon per Minute.
 Confirm a "steady" water flow (no pulsating) when using the RV's
water pump. Have the water pump adjusted if is pulsating.
 Check for sufficient 12 Volt Power (minimum of 11.5 volts to the
Water Heater on a 10 amp fused line).
 Check Gas Pressure: required 11 min. – 12 WCI to the Water
Heater Gas Line with ½ of the LP appliances running.
 Be sure the mounting holes in the door flange line-up with the
holes in the water heater housing. Ideally pop rivet the door flange
to the housing. Refer to "B" on page 9 in Owner's Manual.
If any of the above criteria is not met it may affect the performance of the
Girard Water Heater in achieving and/or maintaining the desired Hot
Water temperature.
