Latency Latency is the amount of time required to establish a connection to a remote device or devices. Latency rates for the Bluetooth Card are as follows: Discovering one or more unknown devices requires ten seconds or more to discover all devices within range. An additional two seconds or more is required to retrieve any device name that is not already stored in the cache.
Power management issues impacting use of the Bluetooth Card are as follows: If you use the Bluetooth Card regularly to connect with other devices, the battery of your handheld will drain more quickly than if you did not have the card inserted.
Bluetooth technology utilizes passkey exchange to enhance connection security.
