Introduction

This compact torch produces an ultra bright light beam by using an LED powered by a Lithium Ion battery. The 5050R torch is designed for easy use with one hand operation.
The 5050R torch body is made by high precision CNC machines from aircraft-grade aluminum alloy for the most durable construction. The 5050R torch is water resistant.

Operation

High > Low > Flashing > Off

Press once for high mode.
To go to low mode from high, press switch again within 0.5 second.
To go to flashing mode from low mode, press switch again within 0.5 second.
To turn off, press switch again after one second from previous switch activation.
BOOST MODE – To engage Boost Mode, press and hold the on/off switch (in any mode) for more than one second. Boost Mode will run for 10 seconds and return to the previously selected mode.

Flood To Spot Operation

To change the light from flood to spot mode, slide the head forward until it stops.
To return the light to flood mode, slide the head back until it stops.

To Charge

Slide the collar on the tail cap to expose the micro-USB charge port.
Plug the USB cable (included) in the light and into either a USB port on a computer or any USB AC adapter.

Light will charge in under 6 hours.

The small LED indicator in the tail switch shows the charging status:
Flashing Red = charging
Solid Green = fully charged

When fully charged, unplug the cable and slide the collar to close and protect the micro-USB port.

The small LED in the tail switch indicates the battery status when the light is turned on:
Green = 61% - 100%
Amber = 21% - 60%
Red = < 20%

USB Power Bank - Slide the collar on the tail cap to expose the USB port. Plug in the device to be charged, e.g. cell phone or MP3 device.

When charging is complete, unplug the cable and slide the collar to close and protect the USB port.

General Care and Maintenance

Clean o-rings with a soft clean cloth to insure that sealing area is free of dirt that could destroy the o-ring seal.
Apply a light coat of clear silicone grease on the o-rings occasionally if turning action becomes too difficult.
Remove the tail cap and wipe the rear threads of the 5050R torch body and inside of the tail cap with a soft clean cloth occasionally to avoid intermittent torch operation.

To prevent the 5050R torch coming on accidentally when the torch is stored, remove the batteries. If the 5050R torch is turned on while it is in a container, the torch can overheat and damage the torch or the material of the surrounding area.

O-Ring Maintenance

Check closely for cuts, scratches, or otherwise damaged o-ring or mating lens lip surface. Remove any dirt or foreign matter from o-ring sealing surfaces. Keep threads, o-ring groove and inside lip of lens lubricated with silicone grease.

Most battery issues arise from improper handling of batteries, and particularly from the use of damaged or counterfeit batteries. Please review the information below to avoid serious injury and/or damage to your property.

Rechargeable Batteries

DO NOT mix old and new batteries.
DO NOT mix battery brands/types.
When replacing batteries, replace all batteries at the same time.
DO NOT open batteries.
DO NOT dispose of in fire.
DO NOT heat above 75°C.
DO NOT expose batteries to water.
Insert batteries correctly with regard to polarity (+ and -) marked on the battery and equipment.
DO NOT use batteries beyond their expiration date.
Hazardous location safety approvals for explosive environments are only valid for the Peli battery pack that is supplied with the torch.
For replacement battery packs only use the approved Peli battery pack for the model of the torch that you are using. The use of other battery packs will reduce the performance of the torch, exposure the user or others to serious injury and invalidate the safety approval.
Torch should only be charged in a non-hazardous location.
Torch should only be charged using the Peli charger base that is supplied with the torch.
Torch should be charged and operated between the temperatures shown in the table below.

DO NOT charge rechargeable alkaline batteries while they are still in the torch. Charging the alkaline batteries while they are still in the torch can cause internal gas or heat generation resulting in venting, explosion or possibly fire which could cause serious injury or property damage.
Deep discharge* of the rechargeable battery may cause batteries to vent potentially dangerous gasses and electrolytes.
It is advisable to condition* batteries every 3 months. Failure to do so will decrease battery life. Leaving the product unused for long periods of time will decrease battery life. Withdrawal of the charger from the product prior to a 'READY' indication will result in inadequate charge.
DO NOT use Ni-MH rechargeable battery packs for longer than 3 years or 500 charge/discharge cycles, whichever comes first. Using the Ni-MH rechargeable battery packs for longer than 3 years or 500 charge/discharge cycles will reduce the performance of the torch and expose the user to serious injury or property damage.
