Connection
Speakers connection
This appliance is designed to produce optimum
sound quality when the supplied speakers are
connected.
Connect two speakers to the AUX output (L/R)
jacks. Ensure red/white terminal matches red/
white jack when connecting speakers. To prevent
damage to circuits, never short-circuit the
speaker output terminals.
LINE IN connection
This appliance can be used as a power amplifier
to playback the programs from your other audio
device.
Use the line in cable (not included) with a 3.5 mm
stereo plug on each end to connect the AUX audio
output jack of your auxiliary sound source (TV,
VCR, DVD appliance, MP3 appliance, Cassette
Deck, Mini Disc appliance, etc,) to the Line in jack
of this appliance. The sound output can then be
heard from the unit. The volume level can now
be controlled through the main unit. Operate all
other functions on the auxiliary device as usual.
Note: Always refer to the instruction
manual of the other device for complete
connection and usage details.
LINE OUT connection
You can connect this unit to an external stereo
system or amplifier.
Connect the Line out jack to the audio input jack
(for labeled as "AUX IN" or "Line in") on your
external stereo or amplifier with the line in cable.
Note: The unit's Volume Control will not
adjust the volume of external system or
amplifier when Line out jack is in use.
Headphones/Earphones connection
A stereo Headphone/Earphone jack has been
provided on the unit for private listening.
To use this jack, plug in the headphones/
earphones (not included) with a stereo mini-jack
3.5mm plug to the Phone jack and adjust the
volume to a comfortable listening level.
Note:
1. When headphone or earphone is
connected to the Phone jack, the main
speakers will be automatically turned
off.
2. Be sure that your unit is set at a low
volume level before connecting the
headphone/earphone.
3. Increase the volume gradually for
comfortable listening. Listening at high
volumes for a long period could cause
hearing loss.
Power supply connection
1. Before connecting the supplied AC/DC
adaptor to the wall outlet, ensure that all
other connections have been made.
2. Unwind the cord to its full length and insert
the small plug of the AC/DC adaptor firmly
into the DC IN jack on the back of unit, and
then insert the adaptor into an available AC
100-240V ~ 50Hz wall outlet.
3. Do not handle the adaptor with wet hands.
Doing so may cause electric shock.
4. Disconnect the adaptor from the AC outlet
if the appliance is not going to be used for a
long period of time.
Caution:
• Only use the supplied adaptor. Failure
to do so may cause a fire or damage the
unit.
• Do not connect the adaptor to a power
outlet other than that which is indicated
here and on the label as this may result
in the risk of fire or electric shock.
• When disconnecting the power cord
from the wall outlet, do not pull on the
cord itself in order to avoid shock risks
caused by a damaged cable.
• Stop using the adaptor if it is damaged
in any way to avoid electric shock.
