INTRODUCTION

This siren/strobe combination with built-in solar panel and rechargeable battery is a really 100% wireless accessory for 868MHz systems. Via the solar panel the battery is reacharged to guarantee a reliable alarm around the clock and all year round, correct installation provided. Via a coded 868MHz signal the twoway communication, alarm, installation and tamper signals are transmitted to the control unit within a range of up to 75m.

INSTALLATION

• Open housing by loosening bottom screw (2);
  
• Pull housing carefully forward (3);
• Select appropriate mounting location in western, southern or eastern direction (northern direction not suitable for lack of sun) (4);
  
• Keep 0.5m to 1m distance from gutters (5);
  
• Install mounting plate (n) with 4 screws on level wall and ensure that the tamper switch is properly pressed and not mounted on top of a joint (6);
  
• Open the protected cap by loosening the 3 screws (7), you can see DIP switches and jumpers (8);
  
• Set desired alarm code in (h) with DIP switches 1 to 8, these must be different from your house code, note the code, ON (downwards) is 1, OFF (upwards) is 0 (9)..-..-..-..-..-..-..-..
  
• Set max. alarm duration in (h) with DIP switch 9, OFF is 3 minutes, ON is 15 minutes, pay attention to local regulations regarding the max. alarm duration (9), the alarm duration of control unit is fixed;
• Set jumper on 1 or 2 pins to switch siren ON or OFF, on 2 pins: siren is ON, on 1 pin: siren is OFF (10);
  
• Set jumper on 1 or 2 pins for installation beep, on 2 pins: beep is ON, on 1 pin: beep is OFF (11);
  
• Connect rechargeable battery to terminals, red on red = +, black on black =- (12);
  
• Connect battery clip to start battery (13);
  
• Mount housing back on mounting plate by first hooking it in at the top and closing it afterwards (14);
  
• Close housing with bottom screw (15);
  
• Program control unit to siren/strobe combination.

USE

The siren/strobe combination alarms according to setting in case of burglary, fire or sabotage. Via the beep and flash signals it is identifiable, if the control unit receives signals from the remote control; monitoring for closed doors always takes place via control unit. The siren beeps may be ON or OFF, according to user preference (k). According to user preference the siren may be disabled and only the flashlight enabled (j). Alarm duration of the siren/strobe combination corresponds to the alarm duration set in control unit, with a max. duration of 3 or 15 minutes depending on the setting of DIP switch 9 (h) OFF = 3min, ON = 15min.

TIPS

• Ensure that the selected position gets enough sunlight for the solar panel;
• Life span of rechargeable battery is ca. 4 years, replace in time by same type and replace alkaline start battery at the same time;
• Keep the solar panel clean for best recharging results;
• Rechargeable battery may be charged with 7,5V adaptor (not included) via connector in siren/strobe combination (l);
• Several wireless siren/strobe combinations may be connected; besides SA68G also wired 12V sirens and flashlights may be connected.
