5. Setting the stitch length
Requirement:
When the stitch-length adjustment knob is set to "4" and the adjustment lever for the differential feed is
set to "standard", the machine must sew a stitch of 4 mm.
Check:
G Set the longest stitch with the stitch-length adjustment knob (figures 9 and 10).
G Set the adjustment lever for the differential feed to "standard".
G Place a piece of fabric under the presser foot and check the stitch length.
Setting:
G Set the adjustment eccentric 6 and the stitch length control 7 as in figure 9.
G Loosen the fastening screw 8 (figure 10).
G Slightly turn the slotted lever 9.
G Tighten the fastening screw 8.
G Check the stitch length.
G Repeat this procedure until the setting is correct.
