The GBIC converts electrical signals to optical signals, and vice versa, for transmission across the Fibre Channel media.

NOTE: You can select any available 32-bit or 64-bit PCI slot to install the Host Adapter. For best performance, a 64-bit slot should be used.

The cable assembly should be terminated with SC Duplex Connectors (super polished ferrule) at each end. These connectors must be NNT-SC-, Bellcore 326-, and IEC-874-19 SC-compliant.
