– Firmly clamp the workpiece by turning the threaded rod
(42).
Moving the Fence (see figure
You have to move the adjustable fence (31) to saw bevel
angles.
– Loosen the locking screw (44).
– Pull the adjustable fence (31) all the way out.
– Retighten the locking screw (44).
After sawing the bevel angles, slide the adjustable fence
(31) back again (loosen the locking screw (44); slide the
fence (31) completely inward; retighten the locking screw).
Adjusting the mitre/bevel angle
To ensure precise cuts, the basic settings of the power tool
must be checked and adjusted as necessary after intensive
use (see "Checking and adjusting the basic settings").
Always tighten the locking knob (25) firmly before saw-
ing. Otherwise the saw blade can become wedged in the
workpiece.
– Bring the power tool into the mitre saw work position.
Setting Standard Mitre Angles (see figure
For quick and precise adjustment of commonly used mitre
angles, detents (27) are provided on the saw table:
Left
45°; 31.6°; 22.5°; 15°
– Loosen the locking knob (25) if it is tightened.
– Pull the lever (26) and rotate the saw table (22) left or
right to the required detent.
– Release the lever again. The lever must be felt to engage
in the detent.
Setting any Mitre Angle (see figure
The mitre angle can be set between 48° (left side) and 48°
(right side).
– Loosen the locking knob (25) if it is tightened.
– Pull the lever (26) and at the same time press the locking
clamp (45) until this clicks into the slot provided for it.
This means the saw table can now move freely.
– Turn the saw table (22) left or right by the locking knob
and use the fine scale (46) to set the required mitre
angle.
– Retighten the locking knob (25).
Adjusting Using the Fine Scale
With the fine scale (46) you can adjust the mitre angle with
an accuracy of up to ¼°.

Example: To set a mitre/bevel angle of 40.5°, you must align
the ½° mark on the fine scale (46) with the 42° mark on the
scale (23).

For quick and precise adjustment of frequently used mitre/
bevel angles, stops have been provided for the angles 0°,
45° and 33.9°.
– Pull the adjustable fence (31) all the way out.
– Loosen the clamping handle (37).
– Standard angle 0° and 45°:

– Retighten the clamping handle (37).

The bevel angle can be set between –2° and +47°.
– Pull the adjustable fence (31) all the way out.

Starting Operation

– To start operation, push the green power-on switch (2)
Only by pressing the button (17) can the tool arm be guided
downwards.
– To saw, you must also press the button (17).
Switching Off
– Press the red power-off button (1) (0).
Power Outage
The on/off switch acts as a zero-voltage switch that prevents
the power tool from starting up again following a power out-
age (e.g. if the mains plug is removed during operation).
– To restart the power tool following a power outage, press
