The driver assistance systems do
not relieve the driver from full
responsibility for vehicle
operation.
When driving abroad make sure
the vehicle uses the speed unit of
the respective country. If
necessary, select the correct units
in the Info Display.

Lane departure warning

The lane departure warning system
supports the driver to avoid
unintended leaving of the lane. The
front camera observes road edges,
as well as the lane markings between
which the vehicle is driving. If the
vehicle approaches a road edge or a
lane marking, the system warns the
driver.
Unintended lane departure is not
assumed by the system when the turn
lights are operated and during few
seconds after turn lights have been
switched off.
No warning will be issued with a
dynamic driving, i.e. pressure on the
brake or accelerator pedal.
When the system recognises an
unintended lane departure, the
control indicator L flashes yellow.
9 Warning
This system is a driving aid that
cannot, in any circumstances,
replace the need for vigilance on
the part of the driver.
